Semicorex Silicon Carbide Seal Rings are made of high purity SiC ceramic, it is an advanced material with high-temperature and corrosion resistance, widely used in various industries. Semicorex provides the best solutions according to customers’ needs.*
Semicorex Silicon Carbide Seal Rings are the seal parts made by SiC ceramic material. Silicon Carbide is a new and high performance mechanical ceramic material, it has very high hardness, and excellent abrasion resistance, high-temperature resistance and chemical stability. So this material is widely used in mechanical seal fields. SiC is the core material of the Silicon Carbide seal rings, it is a structural ceramic material, which can be used in producing of products including seal ring, sliding bearings, kiln furniture, nozzles, grinding discs, heat exchangers, bulletproof armor, space reflectors. So SiC ceramic has a widely application scenarios.

1.Batching: Pressureless sintered silicon carbide uses W0.5 silicon carbide micro powder, while reaction-bonded silicon carbide uses W10+W14 micro powder.
2.Different sintering methods: Pressureless silicon carbide is sintered under slight positive pressure in an argon atmosphere at temperatures exceeding 2000 degrees Celsius. Reaction-bonded silicon carbide is sintered in a vacuum at temperatures exceeding 1500 degrees Celsius using a silicon wafer and a sintered part.
Because of their exceptional performance as well as other properties, high-performance Silicon Carbide Seal Rings have been designed to meet the needs of today's industrial sealing applications. As they are manufactured from High-Performance Silicon Carbide Ceramics, they possess exceptional chemical stability, thermal reliability, and wear resistance, which position them to be excellent products for mechanical sealing for pumps, compressors, mixers, and other types of rotating equipment being used in the most severe environments.
Silicon Carbide's high hardness, coupled with its very dense microstructure, provides it with the ability to resist the effects of abrasion as well as surface fatigue, which keeps the seal surfaces smooth and flat for extended periods of time at both very high rotational and high-pressure conditions.
When paired with carbon graphite or another type of compatible mating material, silicon carbide seal rings can exhibit low-friction coefficients and superior self-lubrication characteristics, thus minimizing thermal energy and wear while maintaining stability during high-pressure and high-velocity (PV) applications. This results in an increased life of the seals, which, in turn, translates to enhanced reliability of the systems that these seals are installed.
The combination of precision manufacturing and advanced ceramic processing methods make it possible to produce silicon carbide seals with very close tolerances and consistently superior quality and surface finishes. These characteristics ensure that silicon carbide seals perform consistently, require less maintenance, and increase the service life of equipment.
