Semicorex oil-free graphite bushings are manufactured by embedding specially formulated solid lubricating graphite plugs into the metal matrix material pre-drilled with numerous orderly arranged and appropriately sized small holes. These oil-free graphite bushings combine the high strength and wear resistance of the metal matrix with the self-lubricating properties of graphite plugs. During operation, graphite particles are released automatically from the small holes of the bushing under the action of friction and form a uniform graphite film on the contact surface. This uniform graphite film can achieve the excellent self-lubricating performance without relying on external lubricants.
