Semicorex Impregnated Graphite is a high-performance composite material created through high-pressure resin impregnated, offering exceptional strength, wear resistance, and corrosion protection for sealing and lubrication applications. Choose Semicorex for advanced impregnation technology, ultra-precise machining, and consistent material quality.*
Semicorex Impregnated Graphite is a non-permeable material made by using a high-pressure resin impregnation process to infuse low-density graphite with synthetic resin and then heat and cure it. This process reduces porosity of the material leading to an increase in strength and thermal conductivity as well as providing natural self-lubrication, high wear resistance and excellent corrosion resistance. Semicorex Impregnated Graphite is used primarily in lubrication and sealing applications, as graphite bearing components, corrosion resistant sealing rings, and in high-temperature wear resistant applications. Semicorex also manufactures high quality bearing components made from impregnated graphite that have high precision self-lubrication properties.
Semicorex Impregnated Graphite is an advanced engineered material that is produced though a high-pressure resin impregnation process. By using a specially developed synthetic resin and impregnating it into low-density graphite and curing the resin at high temperatures, Semicorex is able to develop a dense, non-porous, high-strength composite material that offers the natural benefits of graphite while also offering increased durability and chemical stability.
Impregnated graphite was developed to alleviate the limitations associated with traditional porous graphite materials with regards to mechanical strength and gas permeability. During the resin impregnation process, the interconnected pore spaces within the graphite structure are filled with high-performance resin under controlled and elevated pressure and temperature. The result is a robust material with superior wear resistance, self-lubricating properties, and extended service life, making it ideal for harsh environments involving high temperature, friction, or chemical exposure.
Semicorex's patented impregnation technology guarantees resin is consistently applied throughout the graphite matrix, inhibiting weak points and guaranteeing batch consistency. The resin formulation can be customized, whether phenolic, epoxy or fluorocarbon-based, for specific graphite performance in various operating conditions, such as increased heat, high vacuum, and exposure to hard chemicals.
In addition to offering raw impregnated graphite materials, Semicorex machines and produces tightly toleranced self-lubricating components from these composite materials, including high-tolerance graphite seals, bearings, and wear parts. Semicorex's advanced capabilities in CNC machining and quality control ensures dimensional tolerances, a smooth surface finish, and durability for every part made.
