Semicorex long-fiber CCB brake discs are made from carbon-carbon preforms woven from continuous long carbon fibers, which then have undergone coating treatment and high-temperature (typically within the range of 1500-1800 ℃) LSI fused silica ceramicization treatment. With this setup, the brake discs combine the high-strength and lightweight properties of carbon fibers with the wear resistance and high-temperature resistance of ceramics.
