Product Description

High-performance structural components known as Semicorex CFC Cylinders are created using Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Carbon (CFC) composites and are built for use in challenging high-temperature applications. By combining the excellent thermal resistance of carbon with the greater mechanical strength provided by carbon-fiber reinforcement, CFC cylinders provide excellent durability, thermal stability, and dimensional integrity for use in applications such as high-temperature furnaces, crystal-growing systems, semiconductor equipment, and advanced materials.


As depicted in the attached-image, CFC cylinders have a precision cylindrical architecture, tapered slightly at their wall, making them a dependable structural support and thermal barrier under very harsh thermal environments. The carbon-fiber woven pattern can be clearly seen on the cylinder's surface and is a testament to the composite structure that gives the cylinder superior thermal stress resistance and strength. With this design, CFC cylinders can provide structural stability during extreme temperatures and high-speed thermal cycles.

Advanced Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Composite Material


Cycles of CFC (carbon fiber composite) manufacture by embedding very strong carbon fibres in carbon matrix via a series of 'unmodified' and 'modified' unique manufacturing processes, resin impregnation, carbonization & high temperature graphitization. This has produced a composite material containing a substantial increase in mechanical properties compared to corresponding graphite components.


By using carbon fibre reinforcement, the tensile strength, fracture toughness, and resistance to mechanical deformation of the CFC cylinder is enhanced. The CFC cylinder has the ability to maintain its form or shape during heavy loads or in extreme heat; this provides a strong structure making the CFC cylinder particularly well suited for high temp industrial systems where traditional materials may fail by cracking, warping or thermal fatigue.


In addition to this, the composite structure assists with the even distribution of mechanical load over all areas of the material, therefore improving the long-term durability, and reducing the chances of structural failure due to a concentration of mechanical loads over limited areas of the CFC cylinder.


Low Weight and High Strength


Compared to many traditional, high-temperature structural materials, the CFC cylinder provides a higher strength to weight ratio. The inclusion of carbon fibres has allowed for a significant increase in strength, while the density of the composite material remains comparably low.


This low weight structure provides several advantages in thermal processing systems. The decreased mass of the cylinder allows for faster heating and cooling rates-results in higher processing efficiency and lower energy costs. At the same time, the reinforced composite structure ensures that the cylinder can support mechanical loads and maintain its geometry during prolonged operation.


These characteristics make CFC cylinders ideal for use as furnace liners, thermal shields, structural supports, or containment components within high-temperature equipment.
