Disc Ceramic Membranes

2025-05-07

As a new separation technology, the core of ceramic membrane filtration equipment is the ceramic membrane (filter element).

Disc ceramic membrane is an emerging ceramic membrane configuration with a disc-shaped external shape, an arc-shaped clear liquid permeation channel inside, and a separation layer on the outer surface of the disc ceramic membrane. The disc film forming process adopts the third-generation coating method. The membrane layer is uniform and fine, and the extremely low surface roughness can minimize the accumulation of pollutants. Based on the special overall process, the disc can withstand higher loads. It balances the requirements of mechanical strength, chemical stability and minimum fluid limit force. High-precision plane standards ensure low vibration and long life in rotating systems.

In the membrane filtration process, different operating methods have different membrane filtration methods. The disc ceramic diaphragm rotates with the high-precision shaft driven by the motor, generating high fluid velocity on the membrane surface and then strong shearing action, forming dynamic cross-flow filtration. On the one hand, the feed liquid is homogenized to alleviate the concentration polarization phenomenon. On the other hand, the shear stress generated can remove the fouling layer on the membrane surface and inhibit the growth of the fouling layer on the membrane surface, slowing down the attenuation rate of the membrane flux.
